Joining the cannabis testing space on the foundations of integrity and transparency, Jessica Cadorette is a strong industry advocate who aims to help producers and their clients gain what they desire the most: clean, reliable, and quality-tested products they can trust. To date, Jessica brings with her an extensive background involving business development, entrepreneurship, and approaching the transient world of cannabis testing with ethical, moral, and progressive lenses.

Growing up in Rapid City, South Dakota and later relocating to Sturgis in the 5th grade, Jessica learned early on the innate value of perseverance and hard work to convert visions into realities. Part of this stems from going up in the business world, where her parents owned a security company involving home automation and computers, and part from having the freedom to explore her entrepreneurial spirit at an early age – buying vending machines and making profits by placing them in her father’s office complex by the age of 8. With this as her base, it became the catalyst for Jessica to attend The University of Wyoming after graduating grade school at Believers Fellowship Academy and later finish her college in Boston at Curry College. Here, Jessica earned a BA in Business Administration with a minor in Communications, along with a certificate in Accounting.

Since then, Jessica got married in 2012 and remained in Boston to help her husband’s family operate their many businesses while concurrently pursuing her own ventures, such as woodworking and catering. This led to the official opening of her meal prep company in 2021, the year after her older brother passed away, but with homesickness setting in, Jessica and her husband began making plans to move back to South Dakota where he could pursue his passion for growing, she could pursue the field of manufacturing, and together could raise their children in a more country home environment. However, amid this transition, Jessica’s connections within the rising cannabis industry in South Dakota informed her about the many issues within the only testing facility in the state.

Due to this, it influenced Jessica to pivot her focus and open a testing lab locally instead. Though a large reason for this change of heart was due to a strong desire to help others in large ways, it was also reflective of Jessica's own story of health and cannabis use. At age 16, Jessica was diagnosed with Crohn's disease and living in South Dakota at the time, she couldn't get the specialized care she needed. This was also a period where Jessica was afraid of cannabis use, evidently breaking up with her first boyfriend for smoking pot due to being afraid she would lose her school scholarship. Without proper treatment and being unable to eat solid foods for months due to unprecedented pain, Jessica found herself 105 pounds by age 22.

Finally convinced to give cannabis a try by her now husband, Jessica agreed and tried her first spoonful of cannabis peanut butter from a dispensary in New Hampshire. Shocking to her, cannabis gave Jessica the opportunity to eat something and build up enough strength to find a new doctor who could take care of her properly. Going from barely surviving (completing her last month of college and undergoing senior finals while in the ICU at Mass General Hospital) to genuinely living, Jessica to this day owes her life to marijuana. In addition, she is excited to take those lived experiences with her to step into the testing space professionally and prove just how reformative cannabis can be when quality, reliability, and trust are the product’s core pillars.

Overall, nothing makes Jessica happier than leveraging her professional history and altruistic passions to influence valuable testing reforms and promote advanced life quality throughout the MA state. Driven by both passion and mission excellence, Jessica possesses a true connection to this space and demonstrates that through her ongoing devotion to render opulent-leveled cannabis products that ultimately raise the bar in consumer satisfaction. This, in conjunction with her strong business acumen, quality-over-quantity mindset, and deep understanding of the comprehensive cannabis testing processes, is what collectively shaped Jessica into a respected industry resource – one who is committed to breaking cannabis stigmas and instilling sustainable impacts that producers and consumers can mutually benefit from.
